Any stop payment order placed by you with us must specify the exact amount of the check, account number, payee, date, and sequence number of the item. We must receive it in time to give us a reasonable opportunity to act on it before our cutoff time. A stop payment order is effective for six (6) months, but it lapses after fourteen (14) calendar days if the original order was oral and was not confirmed in writing within that period. A stop payment order may be renewed for additional six-month periods by written request given to the Bank within a period during which the stop payment order is effective. Fee for a stop payment is $20.00.
