While I love the convenience of online banking and use it almost daily, I appreciate being able to deal with “real,” local, caring people when it matters. That was especially important a few years ago when my signature was fraudulently scanned onto fake payroll checks. A “real” person at LCBT noticed the check form was unusual for us and called me. “We opened a checking account soon after we opened our photography studio. It became apparent that we would need to accept credit cards in our business. We needed to not only accept credit cards at the studio but when we photograph hockey tournaments we need to be able to accept credit cards at the tournament. Lapeer County Bank and Trust personnel provided us with the required equipment and information to provide our customers with the ability to accept their credit and debit cards. This improved our business position and improved our image to our customers. Lapeer County Bank and Trust also provided our business with the capability to deposit customers checks by scanning the check and making an electronic presentation of the check. This meant no more trips to the bank to deposit checks. We can make the deposits from our studio. This is a great help when we are photographing sporting events or church directories. We make the deposits at our convenient time even after normal banking hours.
