Presidents Message

We have one goal and that is to help you be financially successful. Our approach to business and community banking is simple. We can not be successful if our customers are not successful. Yes, that is different than many financial institutions. But we have been here since 1881, and we plan to serve our communities for many more years. That means working hard for the success of our families, businesses and farms every day.
Our officers and employees also work hard to help build the strength and growth of our communities. Once again, we can not be successful unless our communities are growing and strong.

Unfortunately, many people no longer know what to expect from a bank. Our big brothers and the internet can not provide caring personal assistance. We do. Come join us, and we will show you how our Mission Statement below makes a difference.

Our Communities

Our three BDC locations are along the Scenic Hwy. 20-12 National By-Way in extreme northeast Nebraska along the beautiful river bluffs of the Missouri National Recreational River. Our communities are just minutes away from the growing tri-state Nebraska-Iowa-South Dakota metropolitan Sioux City, Iowa region.

Families seeking a better quality of life are moving to our communities for our schools, and because outdoor recreation abounds, and yet we are only minutes away from the advantages of the city. As we like to say, “a great place to visit, a better place to live.”

Jackson is the gateway to northeast Nebraska just six miles west of the tri-state metropolitan Sioux City area on U.S. Hwy. 20. This great little community is home to Siouxland Ethanol, the Northeast Nebraska Telephone Company and the Pre-K-2 Jackson Public School which is affiliated with Ponca Public Schools. Scenic housing sites are available at Jackson Bluffs sub-division.

Ponca is west of Jackson on Hwy. 20 and then north on Scenic By-way 12. It is the home of one of Nebraska’s largest and finest State Parks: beautiful Ponca State Park lies on the National River and offers 2,500 acres of bluffs, forests and wetlands. The Park includes Highland Oaks Golf Course, the spectacular Towers in Time monument and the Missouri National River Resource & Education Center.

Ponca is the county seat of Dixon County with full services including medical, dental, newspaper, motel, newly expanded Library and the 3rd-12th Ponca Public School.

Newcastle is just west ten miles of Ponca and only minutes from the Newcastle-Vermillion Missouri River Bridge. Newcastle is located alongside the Missouri River and Buckskin Hills Lake provides recreation. For further information go to www.newcastlenebraska.com. The University of South Dakota is located in Vermillion. Newcastle is an active community with many services includes bluff lodges.

Come see for yourself, you may stay a lifetime.
